Power Automate is a comprehensive program that automates business processes in your company. It gives you connections to almost 300 data sources or any available API. This is a great opportunity for timeghost to use Power Automate to better meet the needs of the customers. That’s why we created Power Automate Connectors to different programs.
In this blog, we will show you which automated processes you can depict with Power Automate in connection with timeghost and Trello.
Power Automate, timeghost and Trello
What if employees who use both timeghost and Trello, could create interfaces between the two programs. Trello and our software could then work together to save having to manually enter and transfer projects and tasks they contain from one program to the other.
Use case: How to integrate the three programs in your company?
A project needs to be completed for a client by a specified date.
The company uses two programs to plan and execute its projects. timeghost is used as a tool to record project times and to keep track of the project budget. Furthermore, the company uses Trello to manage and keep track of individual tasks.
The budget has already been defined by the customer. The project manager creates the project with the specified budget directly in our software and starts planning by adding employees to the project and distributing tasks with deadlines. Across the company, Trello is already used to list and distribute tasks for projects. Within the project, the Trello board is used because each employee is already familiar with the software. Now the project manager wants to make better use of the two applications for the upcoming project by using Power Automate connections between our software and Trello.
What does Power Automate offer in terms of linking possibilities between Trello and timeghost?
1. The first automated link is created when a project is entered into timeghost. Through Power Automate, when a project is created in timeghost, a board is automatically added in Trello. The project manager does not have to create his project twice, he can immediately add tasks to the board in Trello.
2. The next automation takes place in the area of tasks. When a board or ticket is created in Trello, the task is automatically displayed in timeghost. This can then be immediately recorded as a time entry. Not only does this save employees time, but no task is forgotten during the transfer.
3. Every time you move a card to a specific list in Trello (e.g. „resolved”), a custom event is automatically created in your timeghost feed. This way you can easily track the time you spend on your Trello tasks.
Other connections between timeghost and Power Automate
Automated processes can be created not only between our software and Trello. Power Automate provides links between hundreds of programs, so that each program can bring its benefits and advantages to other programs. A network of automated processes is created between different programs, which, in addition to saving time, also increases productivity or efficiency when working with different applications.
